Clodui
Cloud-based static hosting service
We went live as planned on 22-Mar-2020 since then spend a lot of time in building Clodui CLI(Command-line Interface) and getting it ready for use in a real-world CI/CD pipeline.
Today we publicly announced the release CLI and wrote a blog post on it https://www.clodui.com/blog/clodui-cli-brotli-support-and-improved-page-load-time
We also published a custom GitHub action https://github.com/marketplace/actions/clodui-actions for easy deployment from GitHub Actions.
All these efforts are done for targeting developer users and making their website deployment experience awesome.
Clodui is almost ready and planning to go from beta to live next week. Today sent out a pre-release email campaign to all the users.
We've made a few major changes based on user feedback. Now all features are made available on all the plans and restrictions are based on bandwidth and usage.
Started running Google ads campaign from last week, which didn't generate many users signups. Planning continues running it for a few more weeks.
Working on a command-line tool, so that users can deploy their website from a CI/CD pipeline.

Today we crossed more than 100 user signup and all this happened without any paid marketing.
Clodui was on the front page of Hacker News (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22346530) on 18th February for solid six hours, we received around 60 upvotes and 50 comments. This generated a lot of traffic and resulted in more than 60 user signups. We recorded around 3.5GB of bandwidth usage in those periods.
Being on the front page of Hacker News was a test for the service itself and there were no signs of slowdown during that traffic burst. Now I'm confident that the service can handle any huge traffic spikes.
There are still more features to be added and importantly start implementing marketing strategies. In the coming days, I'm planning to split my time equally for development and marketing.

Thrilled to announce the release of v1.0.0-beta and slowly moving towards v1.0 stable release.
This release includes exciting new features like
- Webhook integration support to forms
- automated sitemap.xml and robots.txt generation
- preview deployment before publishing
- redeploying with latest settings
- live chat for customer support
- billing...!
Redesigned the website to provide more clarity on the service that we offer.
All the users that have joined till now are organic users. Now I need to spend time on marketing and attract more users.

Today we reach 40 user signups, really excited to see it's slowly growing.
Noticed many of users are testing the service by uploading dummy websites. So today sent out an email campaign requesting feedback from users none had replied yet.
Campaign metrics show only 38% have opened the email but hope to receive some feedback in coming days.
Meantime working on integrating Stripe billing for payments.

One feedback I received was to have a Google/Facebook login to the app.
Some security-aware users are worried about how the password is going to be stored, they want an easy way to signup without username and password.
So I implemented and rolled out this feature, hope it will increase the signup rate.

Hosting website, optimizing it and handling form submission requires technical skills. I built Clodui to simplify this process so you don't need to spend time on this instead, it all happens automatically.
