The Problem

Okay! There’s a problem that I and many others have experienced and maybe even you might have experienced. My goal is to find a solution, always wanting to cos I know I am not the only one facing it.

I’ve heard too many complaints of how hard it is to know what piece of fashion fits when shopping online, even when you find a measurement chat on site or app it’s so confusing and does little to tell you anything.

To give you an idea of how big the problem of unfit fashion product sales is, we just need to take a look at some figures from losses from brands in the last few years. Proposed Solution

I am hoping that I can share this journey here and this is the beginning of many episodes that I hope will lead to the launch of a product, mostly a mobile app or something of that sort that I think will help to solve the problem!

One thing I want to quickly say is, I have had an idea for a product to solve this problem for a couple of years, maybe since 2018, but I haven’t had the time or the right skills and knowledge I needed to come up with a simple and efficient solution. I use those words lightly because that’s really what I want to achieve if I was gonna create a product of any sort.

So I decided to take some time to learn and develop the skills and knowledge necessary and I know you will be saying why not just hire someone to build it? Yes maybe I could have done that but I did not have the money to do that, so rather than giving up I took the path less traveled, we’ll see if that’s a wise decision and to be honest I am still learning as I go.

In the coming episodes I am going to be introducing a mobile app that will help anyone shop for fashion products via their mobile device using their measurement!

Before you ask if that does not already exist? Let me say, there may be some fashion app that’s already trying to do this, I have seen some myself, I just feel like there's a lot missing in their implementation in one way or another.

My goal is to try to build a mobile app that really speaks to the problem and provide a ton on values for the user and I am hoping that anyone watching or reading these episodes will be willing to help with their ideas, experience and suggestions, which is the main reason I am building the app in public and will be providing updates and insights through these episodes.

I feel with recent technology advancements we can do better with how fashion is sold online. We can really transform the industry in a way that benefits everyone, the environment, fashion brands, consumers, you and even how we manage our wardrobe and recycle our excess clothes.

What if we could have an app that tells us fashion products that fits us, imagine the time and money we will save? What if we could shop for our kids or a friend or even a family member as well and never have to worry about returns? What would it mean if we can easily buy from any brand or designer or even easily find someone that fits the clothes we want to give away.

The Ask

I am hoping through these episodes that we get to build something that is truly great that is user focused and really goes to solve the challenges. I am also hoping that I’ll be inspired by you and that doing this in public will push me to put in all the work necessary to finish this project.

The target is to have the MVP ready in a couple of months and have that in the hands of a few users and continue to iterate from there. I will give more details on this next week and show some of the first designs for the app.

The Closing
Before I go I just wanna say that the focus of this app will always be you, the user and the problem we are trying to solve. The app is just a tool to solve the problem, so it can always change, or be improved to align with your (the user's) values and goals.

I started working on the idea after having a conversation with my younger brother who invests in real estate. We want to create an opportunity where anyone can invest in real estate for as low $1.
