CoachIQ
AI-Powered Interview Coaching
Hey Indie Hackers! 👋
I wanted to share the story behind CoachIQ, the AI-powered interview preparation app I recently launched: https://coachIQ.masterit.co
🔍 The Problem:
Over the past few years, I noticed something frustrating — friends, students, and even experienced professionals kept saying the same thing:
“I applied to 100+ jobs, but when I finally got the interview, I froze.”
“I don’t know how to prepare the right way for interviews.”
Despite all the resume tools and job boards out there, interview prep was still a lonely, vague, and stressful process.
💡 The Insight:
I realized:
People don’t just need generic practice — they need personalized questions based on their resume and job title.
They want immediate feedback on how they’re doing — not just a list of tips.
Most don’t have time (or confidence) to ask a friend or coach to help them prep.
And so, the idea for CoachIQ was born.
🛠️ The Solution:
CoachIQ is a simple AI web app that:
Lets users upload their resume and job title
Instantly generates personalized interview questions
Uses AI to evaluate answers, give instant feedback, and help users improve
Whether you’re a new grad, career switcher, or seasoned pro — CoachIQ helps you build real confidence through smart, structured practice.
🚀 The Build + Launch:
Built using React + Supabase + OpenAI
Stripe integration for subscriptions (freemium model)
Launched on Product Hunt, Reddit, and TikTok
Now trying to grow through job-seeking communities and career coaching networks
🤝 What I Need Help With:
Any growth tips for reaching job seekers or career changers?
What would you add if you were using this as a job seeker?
If you’ve built AI products — what helped you build trust early on?
Would love your thoughts, feedback, or collab ideas.
Thanks for reading! 🙌
