CocoRoam
Travel eSIM for digital nomads in 190+ countries
I launched on ProductHunt, it was a fairly underwhelming experience. Lots of friends and colleagues comments got marked as Spam. Still I get to mark a task as ticked!
The SEO is slowly starting to get picked up! 2 customers in the first week! Hopefully this is a good sign! :)

Compared the wholesale data costs to what Airalo, Holafly and the other big brands were charging. The markup was significant. Travelers were massively overpaying for the same underlying networks. That was the moment CocoRoam went from an idea to something worth building.

Wow, that’s a huge insight! It’s crazy how big the markup can be, and spotting that kind of gap is exactly the “aha” moment that turns an idea into a real business. Curious, did you validate demand with travelers before building, or did the margins alone convince you it was worth pursuing?

No I just went for it. Its a bit of a bad habit I have. Build now, work out how to market later :o

Started properly researching the idea and found it was actually possible to create your own eSIM product via wholesale API providers. The infrastructure already existed — you just needed to build on top of it.

I'd been travelling for years and always thought the eSIM market had a great business model — digital product, global demand, no physical inventory. Filed it away as something to look into properly one day.

Built after discovering the major eSIM brands were significantly marking up wholesale data costs. Travelers were overpaying for the same underlying networks. CocoRoam offers the same coverage at a fairer price.

hey! i also just launched today and felt the same way, quite underwhelming... seems like if we don't drive hella traffic in the first hour inorganically, the launch is dead on arrival ;(
i'll go ahead and check your post out! seems really cool!!
yeah super annoying, I had a bunch of comments from friends and co-workers that didn't even go through, their support said they've been flagged as Spam :/
