Connect With Developers Who Code Like You

July 15, 2025 CodeNearby — where developers actually connect

As a developer, I was frustrated.
GitHub is great for code, but not for connection.
LinkedIn? Feels like a recruiter trap.
Discord? Overwhelming noise.

I just wanted a way to find other devs like me — people who code in the same stack, care about the same kind of projects, and are actually building things.

So I built CodeNearby:
An AI-powered, open-source networking platform where developers can:

  • Match with others based on GitHub data, tech stack, and goals

  • Discover collaborators near them (or remote)

  • Chat instantly, host hackathons, and share updates in a real-time feed

  • Cut through the noise and find serious builders

It’s like Tinder meets GitHub — minus the swiping, plus AI.

I’d love your feedback, early users, contributions, and maybe a few folks who get it and want to push this forward with me.

About

I built CodeNearby because finding the right developer to collaborate with is harder than it should be. GitHub isn’t social, LinkedIn is noisy, and Discord is chaotic. CodeNearby exists to make developer discovery easy.
