May 7, 2020 I accidentally got to the top of HackerNews

The prompt in this textbox asks, "How did you accomplish this?" I have no idea. I was feeling frustrated about some hurdles I had encountered and decided to write a blog post about it.

I think an important lesson here is that it can be difficult to predict what's going to be a success. Sometimes it's better to just produce content, as opposed to spending a ton of time strategizing what you're going to do. That's not to say you should shovel out garbage though.

Write about what you know and care about.

April 22, 2020 Our first pre-registration!

It’s a small step, but an important one. I haven’t really “launched” yet, am just slowly leaking the link places where it’s natural to post. So if nothing else, it’s good to see that people can go through the signup process without anything breaking.

April 19, 2020 Finished the Beta Landing Page!

There are still lots of little TODOs, but the main content and functionality is far along enough that I can start sending the link to people for feedback.

I'm pretty happy with how everything is looking. The UI is solid on both desktop and mobile. The content, overall, is pretty clear.

The one thing I'm worried about is the clarity of the distinction between CodeStories, the platform, and InPyBio-20, our first course. We'll have to see what people think!
