Over 100 emails waitlisted 🎉

When launching the landing page for Vrite (https://vrite.io) on Dec 7th 2022, I set a simple goal for myself - to get over 100 emails on the waiting list before the end of the year.

While not many people in my circles believed it was possible, I did my best to make it happen. Thus, you could only imagine how I felt when I saw my goals realized this Christmas - with over 120 emails on the waitlist! 🚀🎉🔥

---

I want this to be an example - for both future me and everyone reading this - that, given enough work and dedication, you can achieve pretty much anything you want. 💪

As for Vrite - this is only the beginning. Now it's the time to accelerate the marketing and work on bringing the first beta version into reality!

So, let me set the next goals straight:
🚀 release the first beta version;
📪 get 1000 people on the waitlist or on the first beta;
📅 achieve all that before March 1st, 2023;

    Nice Arek! Is your plan to get someone to pay for the product before launch to really prove your product market fit?

    1. 1

      Not really. The idea is to prove the market fit through traction, interest, and good feedback at first. It'd be hard to compete with free alternatives out there (even when providing a better experience) with an entirely new product. I hope for the first clients to be teams in the technical writing and developer marketing space as I have a few contacts there (to try e.g. cold email).

    Nice! Do you have maybe a post in which you tell the steps you've taken to achieve that? I just finished my pre-launch LP and struggle to find information on how to get subscribers on the waiting email list.

      I haven't written anything on that yet, though, in a nutshell:

      • utilizing my "personal brand" through a blog, Dev.to and Twitter;
      • utilizing proper hashtags and niche communities like the ones on IndieHackers;
      • utilizing free Facebook advertising credits (though for this you need to target your audience very precisely)

      I'll consider writing about this though, right now, I'm not sure how these techniques will scale to 1000(s) of users later on. We'll have to see...

    Congrats! Have you thought much about your pricing model? Would be interested to get your thoughts on that

      Well, it's still a while till I get there but it'll likely be a SaaS subscription with separate pricing for teams and individuals. Definitely will have a 1-month free trial and, if budget allows it, maybe even an entirely free tier.
