June 27, 2026 Soft Launch: Shipped V1 of Coinly (a blazing-fast finance tracker) for early feedback!

Hey fellow hackers! I just deployed the first live version of my web app, Coinly, and I’m looking for some early feedback before my official Product Hunt launch next week.

I built Coinly out of personal frustration. I found that most budgeting apps force a terrible trade-off: they are either way too basic (only tracking simple expenses) or overwhelmingly cluttered like a complicated spreadsheet. That friction always made me abandon my budget after a few months.

I wanted something where I could log an expense in literally seconds, but still have powerful tracking for my entire financial life. So, I built it.

The Stack: Built as a solo dev using Vercel for the frontend speed, Supabase for seamless backend/auth, and Stripe for handling the Pro tier subscriptions.

What is live right now:

  • Speed: One-tap transaction logging that takes seconds.

  • The Big Picture: Full tracking for Accounts, Budgets, Debts, Goals, and Net Worth in one clean dashboard.

  • Global Ready: Multi-currency support and full localization for both English and Arabic (RTL).

Since I’m prepping for a big PH launch in about 10 days, my main goal right now is finding bugs, testing the speed, and seeing if the onboarding actually makes sense to fresh eyes.

I would love it if you could test out the flow and give me some brutal, honest feedback. You can try the live version here: https://coinlyapplication.com

Thanks for the support!

The "fast enough that you actually keep using it" angle is the one that resonates with me. Most budgeting apps don't fail because they're missing features—they fail because logging one transaction feels like a chore. If Coinly removes that friction, that's a real advantage.

Thank you for your comment. i appreciate it. I tried to make logging in transactions to be as easy as possible, and not to take much time. that is one of the advantages of my app. i literally logged in transactions in about 5-7 seconds

That's exactly the implication I was thinking about.

I think there's one strategic business decision sitting underneath your reply that becomes much more significant as Coinly grows, but I don't think I can do the reasoning behind it justice in a thread.

Happy to explain what I mean if it's useful. What's the best email to reach you on?

I built Coinly because finance apps are either too basic or painfully cluttered. I wanted a tool that logs expenses in seconds, yet powerfully tracks your full net worth, budgets, and debts all in one clean dashboard.
