Your AI coworker

July 9, 2026 I spent months building an AI coworker. Still figuring out if people want it.

Like a lot of indie hackers, I started by building AI chat products.

The problem was that every demo looked impressive, but the actual outcome was usually more text.

So I started asking a different question:

What if AI didn't just answer questions?

What if it actually did the work?

That idea became Colabro.

An AI coworker that can operate software, organize files, create reports, build presentations, perform research, and execute multi-step workflows on a user's computer.

Recently I launched a feature called Reach, which lets users send tasks from their phone and have their desktop agent execute them remotely.

The technical side has been challenging.

But the bigger challenge is figuring out whether this solves a problem people care enough about.

I'm curious:

What's the most repetitive task on your computer that you'd happily hand over to an AI if it were reliable enough?

I'd love honest feedback from other founders and builders.

About

I started building Colabro because I realized AI was becoming incredibly good at generating answers, but not at getting work done.
