Collective.Energy
Community to catalyze climate change ideas into actions
Collective.Energy passed 250 signups! We had a lot of exposure as a result of being featured on the Hacker News front page for a day, but traffic slowed after that. I kept pushing "doing things that don't scale" including reaching out directly via social media and cold messaging people who I thought could be interested.
We've got a long way to keep going. Onwards and upwards! 🤞
We launched Collective.Energy on Hacker News and got to the front page! Overall it resulted in over 10000 page views and over 100 new signups.
It was exciting to see something that I spent a ton of time on get some traction and validation.

Put Collective.Energy out into the world! At first I seeded the community with just friends who I knew were passionate about environmental causes. Started getting the site ready for a more public debut on other platforms (HN, PH, etc). Felt excited to get something real out there!

About
I created Collective.Energy to solve the problem of not knowing what I could do to address climate change. I hope that it will help others find a place where they can learn, get ideas, and take environmental action!
