Companio
Bread logbook app
After fixing some minor bugs in the MVP, Companio is ready to be launched. I think I heard from Arvid Kahl from feedback panda that launching for a big audience has to be done very carefully, so I think it is best to do a soft release.
I sent a direct message in instagram to a brazilian baker "influencer" asking for his toughts about Companio.
Hope to receive an answer.
Ok, the MVP could be a little simpler.
It took 5 months. My React skills really improved. I had more time to this side project during the quarantine.
In my previous side projects I always launched the app for free, with no payment processing and no pricing section. This time I wanted to try different.
I created a single payment premium plan so I can check if the users are willing to pay for my product. I set up a Paypal checkout so I don't have to create a business account before validating the idea.

I thought that my MVP was ready. Just to make sure, I decided to test the app with my mom, but not just because it's the "mom test", but because she represents a kind of user that the product is focused on: people making bread at home.
Wow, the app was really really hard to use. I decided to make some interface improvements, a live demo and a tutorial so the user can have a better ideia how to use the app.

Every baker recommends to take notes when learning to make bread. After one year making bread at home and keeping my bread notes in a spreadsheet, I tought that an app could help with learning and use the data to bring new insights.
I did some research and home bakers really keep bread notes with spreadsheets, pen and paper , note taking apps, instagram posts, etc. There are some apps available, but rated very low and offer only basic features.
