Compliance Checker
Catch FTC disclosure violations before the FTC does
I've spent the last few months building ProfitSpyTools, an AI-powered competitor intelligence platform for affiliate marketers. Along the way I kept running into the same problem myself: it's genuinely hard to know if your disclosure language actually meets FTC requirements, and getting it wrong is a real risk most marketers don't think about until it's too late.
So I built Compliance Checker — a standalone tool that scans your page and tells you exactly what's missing. 5 free scans a month, $19/mo if you need unlimited.
I launched a small Facebook ad campaign to test real demand ($7/day, nothing crazy). First numbers back were rough: ~13k impressions but only ~183 real landing page views. That gap sent me digging, and I found the actual issue — my ad creative showed a real example scan result (a 40/High Risk score), but the landing page itself didn't show any example. People clicked expecting to see what the ad promised, didn't find it, and bounced.
Fixed it by adding that same example result to the landing page. Also built out proper attribution — cookie-based UTM tracking tied through to Stripe checkout, so I can actually see which ad and which landing page variant drives a paid conversion, not just a free scan.
Still early, still testing, still fixing real bugs as I find them. Building this in the open — happy to answer questions about the FTC compliance angle, the tech stack (FastAPI/Python on a DigitalOcean droplet), or the marketing funnel debugging.
