What is Compress Buddy and why
One day I was on Reddit and I found an indie hacker that had launched a simple website that would compress images in bulk. He was making about $1000 MRR from it and all of the processing was happening on the frontend.
As I dug deeper on his website I noticed that people didn't in fact have to pay and could easily use the app without paying but still, people paid.
That is what led me to build Compress Buddy which is a direct competitor to the other guys website.
My primary goal was to build enough traffic to eventually display Google Ads.
