CompressFlo
Free bulk image compressor with folder preservation.
Hey everyone,
Like many of you, I process batches of images for web development projects and online storefronts. My biggest frustration with standard web utilities has always been handling asset organization. If you try to drop a neatly organized project folder into a basic compressor, it almost always flattens everything into a single chaotic pile that forces you to waste time manually re-sorting.
So, I built CompressFlo (https://compressflo.com) to solve this workflow bottleneck.
It is a completely browser-based, client-side utility. All image manipulation, image resizing, previews, and format conversions (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF) happen directly inside your browser tab using Canvas. Your raw free-tier images never touch a backend server, making processing private while keeping our server infrastructure overhead incredibly lean.
To keep performance completely stable, we utilize a transparent, tiered approach:
Free Tier: Available directly right from the homepage drop-zone. It is strictly limited to a predictable 20-file queue per batch, and registered free accounts receive a tracked counter of 20 successful lifetime bulk processing uses before prompting an upgrade.
Pro Workspace ($4/mo): Handled via live PayPal subscription billing to unlock heavy-duty workflow automation. Pro users can process folders in batches of up to 500 images per upload.
Instead of freezing the browser, our Pro engine utilizes Adaptive Processing—automatically chunking large directories into sequential groups in the browser (roughly 6–16 files at a time). It uses sequential processing, memory-recovery pauses, and dynamic backpressure to ensure the user's browser tab remains highly responsive, all while perfectly preserving the nested folder structure inside the exported ZIP file.
The application compiles cleanly, runs entirely client-side for the image queue, and the live PayPal gateway is active. I would heavily appreciate any honest feedback from this community on the current UX layout, processing chunk speeds, or features you’d like to see added to our development queue.
