I’ve always loved building simple tools that solve everyday problems. One frustration that kept coming up in my own life (and for people around me) was video compression.

Every time I wanted to send a clip over WhatsApp, email, or upload to social platforms, I’d get stuck:

• The file was too big.

• Online compressors forced me to upload private videos to unknown servers.

• Uploading took longer than the actual compression.

• And I never really knew what happened to my files afterwards.

It felt slow, insecure, and wrong.

So I built CompressVideoOnline with one clear idea:
👉 Video compression should happen instantly, in your browser, without sending your private files anywhere.

Using WebAssembly (ffmpeg.wasm), the entire process runs locally on your device. That means:

• Privacy-first (your files never leave your computer).

• Fast (no upload/download wait times).

• Accessible (works on desktop and mobile, no installs).

CompressVideoOnline exists because I believe utility tools should respect users’ privacy, be simple, and just work.
