September 17, 2019 Building for Security

Features pushed this week are focused on security. Now before a user can delete their account, workspace or change the workspace owner, they need to enter password validation. Also added a forgot password flow and a tidier way to manage user roles.

Metrics wise, we hit 40 users! Will likely start asking the IndieHacker community for feedback with regards to how I price the product

September 11, 2019 Polishing MVP

If last week was about getting to MVP, this week is all about polish. The focus has been on making the main Products interface easier to work with for teams, by adding functionality to search products, features, and tasks by fuzzy search, or to filter them by release or relevant owner.

Will launch this by Friday.

September 7, 2019 Launching Conduit

"If you're not embarrassed by the first version of your product, you've launched too late."

After a month of working on Conduit, I'm very excited to announce that it is now in Beta (https://www.getconduit.co/). Still highly unpolished for sure, but I've identified what MVP is and I'm confident that some users will find value in it at this point.

May want to add a little more information about what the product does on the landing page. It's not clear to me exactly what it is or does. Is it a project management system or something different?

      Hi @adlee83,

Thanks so much for this piece of feedback. I'll get on it. I was planning on sprucing up the landing page also. Is there any specific information you'd like to know? I.e. who it's targeted for, what it does, why it exists etc, or just a one-liner along the lines of what you've suggested. I particularly like how tuple (https://tuple.app/) convey their product.

And just to answer you now, it's a product management tool that allows teams to manage their product roadmap to the point where they know what features are targeted for what release, when those releases are, and what sort of work (tasks) go into each feature and who owns them.

Right now, only the "Products" channel exists which makes it feel like a project management tool, though future releases will include things to help teams gather compelling insights about what they're building, helping them decide what to build and why.

I hope that helps, and thank you so much for your comment.

August 7, 2019 Deciding on a product I want to build

I've spent the last couple of months building small apps so that I could improve as a software developer (https://www.isaacaderogba.com/products).

I'm finally ready to take the leap and build something more significant. Super excited to introduce Conduit, a product management tool for self-managed engineering teams. Of course, this is still only a concept, but I've finally landed on something that I want to build for the long term.

About

From past experience as a Product Manager, I noticed that poor tooling existed for helping teams decide what to build and why. Conduit's purposeful design is built for self-managed teams who take ownership in their work.
