Hi folks,
Almost a year ago, ContentGT went into maintenance mode. It’s been a great journey. What started as a solo experiment eventually became the boilerplate that helped launch Roundups.ai, which I co-founded shortly after.
Over the course of the project, we generated over 5,000 articles and had more than 3,000 sign-ups. However, as the general-purpose AI writing space has become increasingly saturated, I’ve made the decision to officially shut down ContentGT.
Thank you to everyone who used a supported the platform.

Hi folks! As there is quite a huge gap between the free and paid plan (10 to 350 articles), I'm launching a plan for those who need a content writer occasionally. It includes everything that the higher plan offers (WordPress integration, Articles history, In-Article images & Videos, WP Autopilot, API, and Keywords Research).
ContentGT now allows you to create and share public articles directly on our platform.

As I continue working on ContentGT to generate articles at scale, I am starting to provide easier ways to integrate with it by creating user-friendly API clients. The first one is (for obvious reasons) available on npmjs.com.
Articles quality
Migrated to the latest LLM models under the hood, so the quality of the articles improved overall, but it is more visible on longer ones. The latency for generation remains the same.

It's been a while since I last posted, but there was a reason. I've been working on an API for ContentGT that allows you to create articles for any project on any platform.
It has been battle-tested recently on a site that was launched a month ago on a new domain. So far, it has generated about 150+ articles that are slowly starting to gain traction. This again proves that search engines don't deprioritize AI content if it brings value.

Stats:
Visitors: 750
Registrations: 142
Content generated: 164 articles
No customers have converted to paid ones yet :)
New features:
- Article generation up to 4k characters.
- WordPress Autopilot (generation & posting scheduler).
SEO & Marketing:
- Email sequence added to explain the product, request feedback after registration.
- Added a section on the landing page with examples of generated articles.
- Recorded a YouTube video on how to set up autopilot.
- Created 6 Free AI Tools (Paragraph Generator, Paraphrasing Tool, Blog Title Generator, etc.) with some hooks to sign up.
Ads:
Around £100 spent on keywords related to AI writing on Google Ads, which brought the main traffic.
Also tried small campaigns on Reddit and Facebook (around £20 each), but no visible results there.
Hey, I'm building https://contentgt.com - a service for generating articles using AI. This post is about how I came up with the idea and what stage the product is at now.
A SEO friend of mine, asked me how feasible it would be to generate articles over OpenAI for his side project by providing topic, keywords, structure and other relevant assets. I wrote a simple script for this, and after testing it on a few examples, we saw that the results were quite decent. The generated articles began to bring in traffic, and I decided that this script could be useful to others.
While doing an analysis of the competitors (of which there are more than 20, both bootstrapped and funded), I noticed that all of them are somehow in an active phase of development, and the quality of the content produced, features, and integrations could be better. They still have quite a lot of clients and charge high prices, so I decided to give it a try to bring something to this niche.
Currently, the project is in the initial marketing phase, basic SEO optimization, and searching for the first users and feedback. I have a solid technical background of 10 years as a software engineer and have also attempted to casually build and launch five services over the decade, all of which failed due to a lack of marketing. So, this time I will try to take it more seriously :)

What the service currently offers:
- Generating articles based on a given topic, keywords, structure, chosen language, and its size.
- Automatic selection and addition of stock images to the article.
- Integration with WordPress for publishing articles as drafts.
