Convivio
Keeping you connected to your closest friends
With the lack of a clear path to revenue and a massive underestimation about marketing strategy, I have decided that it's best to put this on pause, get a job and continue to think about how I can mould this into something I can salvage.
I hope that this gives me perspective into the central feature set and in the thinking around gaining traction
Convivio is finally released on app stores! It was ever-so-slightly delayed fixing some compilation bugs but it's out now!
It was only really marketed to a smaller network of people and so no explosive growth. It did however help nail down some usability issues and bug fixes

Users have been on the app for a few weeks now and it's helped with usability improvements and finding some of those sneaky bugs!
Using a forum was a good idea. Although there's a bit of activation energy getting people to sign up, once you're on it's really easy to get good engagement.
Just need to finish up a few final things before making the app available on app stores!

Development on the app was finally completed. After many ups and downs trying to get the app built, the core feature set is built and the app compiles and runs on both iOS and Android!
As a first time React Native and Django developer, there were constant stumbling blocks which slowed me down more than I'd have liked, but it's nice to have something tangible. Next step is user testing once it's approved on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store!
