CoolTimer
Cool concurrent countdowns, stopwatches, and alarms.
Hey Indie Hackers,
I’ve always found it weird that most timer apps treat our lives like we’re only doing one thing at a time.
I’m usually juggling a Pomodoro session for work, a laundry load downstairs, and a "don't let the coffee get cold" alarm—all at once. Using three different apps (or three browser tabs) felt like a hack.
So, I built CoolTimer.
The Product
It’s a browser-based tool built with Nuxt 3 and TailwindCSS. The goal was simple: unlimited concurrent countdowns, stopwatches, and alarms in one clean dashboard.
Privacy-first: Everything happens client-side.
Fast: No account, no download, no ads.
Bulk Controls: One button to pause/reset everything when life gets chaotic.
The "How" (Tech Stack)
I went with Vue 3/Nuxt 3 because I wanted that instant, reactive feel. Since it’s purely client-side, it stays fast and keeps the overhead low. It also works offline once the PWA (Progressive Web App) is cached.
The Growth Strategy (SEO)
Productivity is a crowded space, so I’m not fighting the "timer" giants head-on. I’m currently building out a "Long-Tail" SEO strategy with 16 targeted articles. Instead of ranking for "Timer," I'm going for:
“Best multi-timer for freelance billable hours”
“Simultaneous timers for batch cooking”
“Interval timers for corporate workshops”
The "What's Next"
I’m currently keeping it free to build an audience, but I'm debating:
Affiliate play: Linking to physical productivity tools (notepads, desks).
Premium features: Cloud sync or custom "Timer Templates."
The "Buy Me a Coffee" route.
I’d love your feedback: Is the "unlimited timers" niche enough to pull users away from their default phone apps? Also, if you’ve run a multi-article SEO play for a simple tool before, I’d love to hear how it went.

About
CoolTimer exists because most 'advanced' productivity tools are bloated, require an account, or are riddled with ads and tracking. I wanted to build the fastest, cleanest utility possible using Nuxt.
