I built copyPastelino, a tiny macOS menu bar app that remembers what you copy and lets you paste the right item without breaking your flow.

How it works

Hold Ctrl and tap V to cycle through clipboard history in a small preview near your cursor. Release Ctrl to paste the selected item.

copyPastelino is local-first by design: it works fully offline, with no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything is stored locally with minimal UI and low overhead.

Beta is now open via external TestFlight:

If you try it, I’d especially love feedback on:

  • cycling quickly through long text or code snippets

  • handling images and file paths

  • any lag, clipping, or crashes

About

you copy something important… then copy something else… and the original is gone. Clipboard history apps exist, but many feel heavy, distract you with big windows, or pull you out of flow. Just Ctrl -V to preview- paste.
