Launched on Product Hunt
It took much longer than anticipated to get Couch Live "production ready", but when the Covid pandemic hit I knew the timing was right. Couch Live picked up thousands of users within weeks of the Product Hunt launch, and I got dozens of emails from people expressing gratitude for the service during the challenging time.

Started working on the concept
After leaving my full time job at the end of August 2019 I had a ton of pent up creative energy and I poured it into Couch Live so I could spend more time with far away friends and family. The idea was to build a virtual space where a group of people could gather from whatever device they wanted, see the avatar faces of their friends, hangout and watch TV together.
