Creat-X
AI Website Builder
Hey IH community π
Solo founder here. I just launched Creat-X, an AI-powered website builder aimed at small businesses that Wix/Squarespace are too generic (and too expensive) for β bakers, DJs, gamers, artisans, photographers, funeral services, etc.
The idea came from a simple observation: most small business owners I know either (1) don't have a website at all, (2) have a broken Facebook page, or (3) paid a developer 2,000β¬ to deliver something they can't update.
So Creat-X does 3 things differently from the big players:
β Niche templates, not generic blank pages. You pick "Restaurant" β you get menus, reservations, opening hours. "Gaming" β Twitch embed, server status, schedule. "Artisan" β portfolio, contact, service listings.
β AI generates the content for you. Describe your business in plain French/English, Claude writes the hero, about, services, and FAQ sections. 5 minutes from signup to live site.
β Priced for real small businesses: 8β¬/month for a Starter with custom domain, no branding, Stripe integration. No surprise upsells.
Stack: Next.js 14, Prisma/PostgreSQL, Stripe, NextAuth, Claude API, Hetzner (Germany, GDPR-first).
Currently running with 4 paying clients including a bakery, a DJ, a gamer, and a pet funeral service β real businesses, not demos.
I'd love feedback, especially from people who've built SaaS in commodity markets: how do you differentiate when Wix has infinite budget for ads? My bet so far is vertical templates + EU/GDPR positioning.
Live at https://creatx.eu β happy to give free lifetime accounts to the first 10 IH members who sign up and share honest feedback.
Cheers,

Most small business owners get stuck because traditional builders give them a "blank canvas" when they actually just need a tool that understands their specific trade.
The shift toward vertical-specific templates is a smart move, especially when combined with a GDPR-first approach that larger US-based competitors often treat as an afterthought.
