Creator Club
Community and content for creators.
Last week I started Creator Club.
The idea came from spending a month doing Dickie Bush’s Ship 30 for 30 writing cohort.
During the first cohort, I wrote a lot about business ideas. Then this morphed into writing about the creator economy.
After signing up to my second cohort, it dawned on me.
I don’t want to be the centre of attention. I’d much rather share other people’s stories.
And that’s when the atomic interview was born.
I tweeted about the idea, intending on getting a few interviews to test the concept. But I got a fantastic response. Lots of recommendations and volunteers to be interviewed. I was blown away.
So I quickly crafted the questions I wanted for an atomic interview. Only 5 questions to find out about the creator, how they’ve grown and if they’re making money as a creator.
Now the plan is for more detailed interviews. But this was the quickest way to begin shipping.
Yesterday I wrapped up shipping 7 interviews in my first 7 days of being live. And I couldn’t be happier.
Not to mention, after each post I’ve had more people reaching out to be interviewed.
I’ve still got a big list of things to optimise:
• Website
• Newsletter
• Schedule for posting
• Roadmap for other ideas that I have to take it forward.
But I’m excited about the journey.
