    Congrats! Looks great.

Are you continuing to focus on iOS, or shifting more efforts towards web?

Did you already have prior experience with both? I've built many apps but after lurking IH for years it definitely feels like web might be the move. Curious if you were able to leverage your existing tech for the iOS side for your web product.

June 17, 2021 Our app hit the Top Charts again!

Today I made the decision to build in public again, with the main goal of documenting our journey and the creative ways we use to grow.

This is the place where I'll post most of the highs and lows, and we will also be publicly open about our revenue numbers. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to connect App Store revenue with IH, so the revenue shown is only the web version, which is currently invite-only for now.

The last update here was 6 months ago, when we used Top Nine as an acquisition campaign for CreatorKit. The campaign worked out pretty well and we made it to the #1 spot of the US App Store. Many users subscribed to the monthly subscription, but honestly, they weren't using the app a lot.

The app was buggy and glitchy, so we weren't able to maintain that level of growth throughout the past 6 months.

Super happy that we improved a ton and we're seeing results!

Today's milestone marks that we're definitely on to something big. Regardless if this is just one spike on the growth chart, we're seeing hundreds of users sharing content created with our platform.

Excited for what's yet to come!!

January 1, 2021 #1 on the App Store!!!!

CreatorKit went viral and made it to the #1 spot of the US App Store for the Design category, acquiring a few million users!

Our main strategy was cross-selling CreatorKit with Top Nine users.

Now let's celebrate πŸŽ‰ and rest 😴

Sharing a post tomorrow (hopefully) with everything we did to make it happen!

December 4, 2020 Starting to see results!! Growing 2X everyday πŸ“ˆ

πŸ˜” Product Hunt launch did bad. Lesson learned:

  • Lack of community building before launch.
  • Asking for feedback instead of upvotes.

😊 Influencers and publishers did really well.
Using cheap publishers with nonpersonal accounts. Happy to share more about them.

πŸ’Œ Email marketing did great too!
I could write hours about this if anyone wants to hear more.

Trying to balance how much do I invest in documenting everything we work on VS actually working on that, so I'll be sharing more on Twitter:

I shared a post that didn't get many views about our attempt to get to the #1 spot of the App Store (like we did 4 times before):

https://www.indiehackers.com/post/path-to-the-1-spot-of-the-app-store-edf2bc85a3

I guess Indie Hackers are more interested in hearing the "How we succeeded doing X" than actually seeing and learning from the process while it happens.

December 1, 2020 Launched on Product Hunt

πŸ™…πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Didn't do well. At all.

πŸ“ˆ But, traffic from our emails is fueling growth!

πŸš€ We're starting to see some early virality here.

😸 Many lessons learned on how to launch on Product Hunt. This used to be easier a few years ago!

πŸ’ͺ Most importantly, this is just the beginning!

Hey @kevntz just upvoted your product on PH. I saw a similar product many months back here in IH.

Brands can see their top 10 best performed posts in order to analyse the DNA of those posts and tweak their future posts. It's an interesting tool for brands and bloggers.

November 29, 2020 First tweet about CreatorKit!

For the past year, I've been working heads down on our product.

Most of our marketing efforts were based on email marketing, so I stopped building in public like I used to do!

Starting today, I plan to document about the process we take to grow CreatorKit, including attempting to make Top Nine viral again.

The tweet didn't look like it got any interest at all, I guess people on Twitter are more interested about the goals accomplished, not the process to get to them.

I'll continue to share our progress EVERY DAY. If I see it doesn't get any interest, I'll stop by day 5.

I believe this is a great learning experience for anyone who wants to learn product growth, as there's a high change that Top Nine goes viral again, reaching the #1 spot of the App Store.

Let's see!
