CreatorPool
A database to help product makers promote their product
I was struggling with finding a way to get a free, nice looking svg image for CreatorPool's logo. There are a lot of great paid services out there, but when you're just testing something out you don't really want to drop $40-60 bucks on it!
I wrote about how here:

Finding early users is proving to be very difficult! I've driven just a few sign-ups by leveraging my contacts on LinkedIn, although I'm trying to discover avenues to find more.
I'm really only using a few strategies thus far:
-
Email Marketing -- I'm slowly building a contact list and running SendGrid campaigns to message potentially interested individuals. This is something you have to be fairly selective with (IE - i've quickly discovered that trying to spam a bunch of people just gets you nowhere/flagged :) )
-
Reddit/Producthunt -- I've found juuuust a handful of opportunities for posting on reddit, and i haven't seen much traffic from it thus far. Same story on product hunt, although I didn't put enough effort into the launch I think.
What acquisition channels am I not considering?

I wrote about why it might be worthwhile to consider "smaller time" bloggers as part of your marketing strategy. They have more loyal audiences that are much more inclined to follow the recommendations of the content creator!
