May 24, 2026 How I built it

Built a $19 credit card points tracker for the AU market - pure static HTML, zero infra cost.

The Australian credit card churning niche has a real information gap. US guides don't apply (different issuers, different cooldown rules, different credit reporting environment). AU comparison sites exist but they're affiliate-driven and don't cover the operational side - how to sequence applications, when to cancel, how to manage eligibility across two applicants.

I built the AU Churner's Bible to fill that gap.

The product:

A Google Sheets dashboard that tracks all current AU credit card sign-up bonuses, sorted by net value after annual fee. Includes a personal tracker tab with cooldown date alerts, a Notion workspace for application history, an application flowchart, and strategy guides for each major AU issuer.

The tech:

Deliberately minimal. Plain HTML/CSS landing page hosted on Netlify free tier. Google Sheets as the data layer (no backend, no database). Gumroad handles payments and delivery. Umami for analytics. Total infrastructure cost: $2/month (domain amortised).

The SEO play is a blog of genuinely useful AU-specific content like cooldown rules, points program comparisons, issuer reviews. These are things that comparison sites don't cover well. Posts are going up weekly on auchurnersbible.com.

Early results:

Site live as of May 2026. Organic search is the primary acquisition channel - first impressions data coming in via Google Search Console. Gumroad for payments means zero payment infrastructure to maintain.

What I'd do differently:

Start the blog content earlier. The landing page was fast to build but the SEO content is tough.

Australian churning guides are either US-focused (different rules), outdated (cooldown periods change), or incomplete
