January 13, 2026 Introducing Creodrop!

Hey IH! I'm JD, and I'm building Creodrop - a managed Drupal hosting platform that makes enterprise-grade CMS accessible without the enterprise headaches.

Why Drupal? Because it's genuinely powerful. It handles complex content modeling, multilingual sites, and heavy traffic that would make other CMSs sweat. But historically, it's required a developer just to get started.

Why now? Drupal CMS 2.0 is launching soon with a visual page builder and dramatically improved UX. This is the inflection point where Drupal's power becomes accessible to non-technical users - but hosting is still a nightmare. That's the gap I'm filling.

What I'm building: Think "Squarespace simplicity with Drupal power." One-click deployments, visual site building, but with the capability to handle real complexity when you need it. No server management, no deployment pipelines, no DevOps required - but developers can still Git commit if they want to.

I'm keeping scope tight: aiming for hundreds of customers, not thousands. Building it as sustainable side income rather than VC-backed moonshot. Launching alongside Drupal CMS 2.0 to ride that wave.

Streaming the whole build process on Twitch (JDDoesDev) because building in public keeps me honest and has already connected me with early supporters.

Would love to hear from other indie hackers tackling niche infrastructure plays or building for underserved markets!

About

With the release of Drupal CMS, non-coders can quickly create sites and content without having to hire a developer. This is a platform to spin up these sites.
