Some validation recently, as I've now sold 10 lifetime deals on AppSumo. I plan on removing the deal eventually, but the point was to get as much feedback as possible, and it's definitely working as intended. The people that have redeemed the deal have given me a list of to-dos that will hopefully be useful for future subscribers.

December 24, 2020 MongoDB Startup Program

I work out of a WeWork in NYC and their Labs program has a bunch of deals for startups. MongoDB gives out $3,000 in Atlas credits. If you're using MongoDB, this is a no-brainer. I applied, and I was accepted. Now all my database costs are covered for the next year. Learn more here: https://www.mongodb.com/startups

December 24, 2020 Stripe Verified Partner

CrowdPower was accepted into Stripe's Verified Partner program. One of my growth strategies is to get CrowdPower listed on as many integration directories as possible. With Stripe, you not only get listed, but their verified badge helps establish trust. It does cost $250/year, but I think it's worth it. Here's the listing: https://stripe.com/partners/crowdpower

November 26, 2020 Lifetime Deal

Launched a lifetime deal with AppSumo to gain some traction. Got some great feedback and some early adopters out of it. Although lifetime deals are generally frowned upon, I believe it is worth it to get the product out there and build requested features. Here's the offer: https://appsumo.com/crowdpower/

June 25, 2020 Soft Launch

After months of building and learning about user tracking and marketing automation, CrowdPower is now accessible for others to use for free. I've been using CrowdPower to track user behavior on ClosingBell (my previous and still active startup). I created a win-back campaign that re-activates inactive users. With ~1,000 new users a month, it's a great app to test the platform with.

I just found CrowdPower by searching Indie Hackers for "user analytics" and it looks like exactly what I need! I've signed up, poked around enough to see that it has exactly the automation I'm looking for, and I'll be integrating into our app this week. Thanks for building this!

Hey Jay. Thanks for signing up. I've got a ton of ideas in the pipeline. Feel free to suggest features, and I'd be happy to build them. What automations are you planning on running?

The biggest for us, short-term, is to send ourselves emails on certain events like sign-up, but we also plan to segment users based on their type (we deal with breweries, distributors, and retailers) so that we can notify them of new features that are specific to them. I'll post again after I integrate and the only request I currently have is a Python package to make server-side event capture easy. Thanks again!

Nice. So there's 2 things you might find helpful that are already built in. You can connect Slack and ping your team (instead of email). And you can use segment.com to make integration easier - but I agree, packages would be nice to have.
