Crypto Pillage

This was one of the most difficult things I've ever done in my life. Not technically, but emotionally and mentally. The idea of being judged for your work publicly is something that I was afraid of up until I started recording the video.

Once I started recording, I just kinda got into the flow of it, and I realized that I have something interesting that I want to share with the world, and if nobody likes it, that's okay.

The video covers a recent blockchain game that works on the polygon network (I don't blame you if you never heard of this). It's really interesting and fun and I really enjoyed going through it in the video, because it is so simple and brilliantly designed. I think these games are going to pop up everywhere once the mechanic proves itself, which I'm pretty sure it will.

The video got some traction (so far 78 views, 14 subs) which I think is not bad for my first video ever. I just need to keep consistent, and keep improving.

I hope this is the first of many, and I am going to put my effort into perfecting my craft and sharing as many details as I can.

Instead of writing content pieces from the beginning, my strategy is going to be more of a content curation strategy.

The main reason is that I don't feel confident with original content yet. I haven't built up an audience that is interested in what I'm saying, and I'm not sure if my content would be successful in doing that.

So I am going to work backwards, first I'll build my audience by highlighting the work of others.

My reasoning of why this will work better to build an audience is as follows:

• Many people are searching for these investment opportunities
• Once a project gains steam, interest picks up quickly leading to outsized early SEO advantages
• The project team have an interest in amplifying my signal
• The project followers have an interest in amplifying, and usually looking for more

With this combination of factors my strategy is as follows:

• Identify a good "gem" aka token investment opportunity
• Compile the data and upload to site, adding my own analysis/opinion
• Tweet out a summary of the project details, and tagging team members
• Posting these reviews to the twitter feed of the project
• Posting a link to the reviews to the community telegram or other community gatherings

I have already seen some success with this strategy, for example on one post (https://twitter.com/cryptopillage/status/1423382268408700929) I tagged the whole team of the project that was listed on their website and 5 of them immediately liked the tweet. In other cases I got retweeted, and liked and followed by more accounts.

I also created an airtable to hold all the data including the data that goes into the website post, and the data of the team members, and community.

My main challenges are:

• It's very time consuming to do each one
• I get distracted on twitter very easily
• I am going to have to do this for a while until I build a decent following
• No way to monetize yet, which makes it a time sink with no return, which I'm not used to
