Cryptofonts
A collection of crypto token icons for developers
The API has been live for more than a month now and after trying to get some early feedback it seems that the interest is there and people would use it if they actually had a project for it.
I have also added some automation in place so that new tokens are coming in on a daily basis and I don't have to do any major maintenance except fofr a few times a month.
Given that crypto and the general web3 space is in a bit of a downturn right now I am not surprised I am not receiving any interest at the moment.
I have been contacting a bunch of people on LinkedIn, but it doesn't seem to be the right place to do outreach and only got 1 response back.
On the other hand Twitter turned out to be really good with a lot more people replying to my messages and also being really involved in giving constructive feedback.
Currently I have 19 users on the free plan and 0 on the paid plan.
I'm not surprised and I guess it'll take time before I start getting some result and paid customers.

After 5 years of building and maintaining Cryptofonts it is time to improve the product and bring it to the next level.
The first MVP was launched in less than a week and it was a Webfont including more than 1000 icons of cryptocurrencies.
Developers could quickly implement the webfont in their projects and have access to thousands of high quality svg logos.
The project was simple and free.
I continued maintaining the project and next added SVG coloured icons, but in 2023 this is not enough anymore and webfonts are not cool anymore.
Introducing the Cryptofonts API!
Following developers feedback it seems that the quality of the logos is not their main concern but mainly something that can be used and integrated in their stack easily.
Over the past week I have been scraping multiple blockchains for token details, collecting more than 14k results, all with images and token data.
The goal is to create an automated and self sustaining business selling access to the API to existing products and developers.
I will keep you updated on the development

About
I started Cryptofonts in 2018 because I couldn't find a good website where to find cryptocurrencies and token logos for my designs and products.
