August 15, 2018 Getting sufficient usage data

Initially, I was just going around different places and posting about Crystal Ball. Got some attention but incoming traffic was low.

Eventually, we found a free way to get traffic to our website. This method consistently brought in 400 users.

But then, we were a bit disappointed. Retention was low. It wasn't 0% but low. Perhaps, the product was too technical? Perhaps, we were targeting users that have short memory span? Hard to figure it out.

But, what we do know, we have not achieve product-market fit. So, our focus was to beef up the product.

July 15, 2018 We launched

Most coding was done by me. There were volunteers that was kind enough to help build 3 components.

Our business model is likely going to be subscription-based. There are products out there that made subscription model worked. We believe our product has strong tech advantage compared to their platform and we can make it work.

However, we want to test our assumption by measuring user retention.

So, initially, the goal is to measure user retention. But, to do that, we need to get more traffic in.
