Just month and a half passed since its success on Product Hunt. Today I'm releasing fresh update to our awesome tool for front end developers — based on feedback of its first users.
Here's what's new:
- Smart shadows! No joke, creating nice long shadow effects for text and "box" elements just become much simpler! Whenever 3 shadows in a row has same pattern (step, color, etc.) all further shadows will follow the same rules!
- Reorganize tools in the sidebar for better UX;
- Updated "tips" documentation section;
- Wider range for some CSS properties;
- New DOM elements for styling;
- New nice preview image;
- New default DOM element styles;
- Support for custom background image URL;
- Less annoying Ads;
- New pre-styled creatives to kick your inspiration.

"CSS grab n'go Editor" got featured in Product Hunt daily newsletter on 20th of April, 20202.
Product is in the "TOP HUNTS" section, on the second place right after "promoted" product (so, I assume it's the first place 😅).
This happen two days later after becoming "no.1 product of the day" on 18th of April. As of right now there is chance of getting "product of the week" and "product of the month".

April 18, 2020 🏆 Product of the day.
I did nothing special to achieve it — #1 product of the day. I posted CSS editor on Product Hunt on 13 April 2020, and only 5 days later, when I already thought the launch wasn't that successful, it got on the first place. I did my daily marketing routine and focused on updating posts and threads with project news and demos. In my strategy, consistency was a critical ingredient. Consistency is not an opening, but a good reminder. Whatever you do — don't give up!
I'm very proud and honored to work on something that can make CSS less painful and can serve a day-to-use use as a tool for learning, and help save time. Please share your feedback. Missing a CSS feature? — Tell me in the comments.

Social traffic (and routine volume):
- Twitter (95%)
- LinkedIn (3%)
- Facebook (1%)
- Instagram (1%)
Social vs. organic
- organic (75%)
- Social (20%)
- Other (5%)
Looking on percentage I can tell you that SEO is no.1 priority. Just always using:
- microdata
- media and images
- opengraph
- pre-render for JavaScript web apps (e.g. react, angular, meteor)
- mobile first
- PWA
And I guess people just googling it.

So it's mostly Twitter, interesting. Did you consider Reddit? I've seen a lot of positive feedback regarding its ability to generate traffic, especially in the development community.

Tried Reddit multiple times, but I guess it's just different community. In short — Reddit never worked for us.

It's 100% organic product. Not at all, that's why I'm surprised! As you can see, I posted it on PH 5 days earlier and already believed it didn't launch well. All I did is that I was posting for some time and was self-updating threads on all platforms, keep posting news about the product, but from my perspective, it was minor actions.

Seems like a great way to try out a bunch of CSS variations. We did a PH launch the other day of a side project. Not much traction there, but it did help get sales for the side project within 24 hours of postings. Best of luck on your PH launch!!
