CUEvio
Track movies, TV, and books — all in one place
Hey IH 👋
I'm Kieran, building CUEvio (cuev.io) — a tracking and discovery app for movies, TV shows, and books.
The problem I kept hitting: I was using Letterboxd for movies, Goodreads for books, and Trakt for TV. Three logins, three taste profiles, none of them talking to each other. There was also no tool that combined tracking with substantive editorial recommendations — just star ratings everywhere.
So I built one.
What's different vs. the incumbents:
- Cross-format from day one (movies + TV + books, podcasts coming)
- Editorial layer with our own "Why Watch" takes — not just user-aggregated scores
- Built around deciding what to start, not just logging what you finished
Tech: React + Vite SPA, Supabase, Cloudflare Pages, Cloudflare Workers + Prerender.io for SEO. TMDB + OpenLibrary for metadata. All free, no ads.
What I'm working on next:
- Adding podcasts (the original "next format" that started the whole thing)
- Smarter cross-format recommendations
- More editorial content — Weekly Drop, "Why Watch" coverage, box office recaps
Honest feedback wanted, especially from anyone building consumer products. What's working / what's confusing on the title pages?
About
A couple of reasons - 1) I wanted a better way to track the content i consume and 2) I wanted to learn AI tools.
