Community for remote workers to rate their company culture
The blog and remote worker toolkit sections are now live. I've been able to collect a list of apps that helps remote workers with collaboration, messaging, and project management and have gathered them all in one place. I am a slow writer, so the first blog post is live with the goal to post 1 blog every 10 days initially.
The mission will always be to allow remote workers the chance to know if the companies they want to work for are remote friendly and not just be another job board. I want to be able to provide remote works resources to help them succeed end to end. This means at the beginning when they are looking for a new job, to being able to succeed when we launch the Career Toolbox function in the future.
Last weekend, I just decided to stop trying to perfect the site and to just launch the first version of it. Was definitely nervous about doing it, but already getting feedback that I would have never found out if I kept being stuck on trying to fix it.
I've always wanted to start something on my own and came across a tweet regarding remote working that was posted in Dec. I knew this was something that I wanted to pursue during covid, so I put together my Trello board, and started the business plan. It has been 20 years since I last entered a line of code, so being a no-coder had always been my excuse to start something. With all of the options today to build something initially using no-code tools, the time is now right for me to put my ideas to work.
