Stop Founder Burnout - Start Shipping
After several months, it turns out that indeed setting up a community was the wrong choice.
Getting startup founders, especially bootstrapping startups, to spend time on yet another platform was probably too ambitious a plan.
So, it's time to abandon this project and search for better ways to teach startup founders how to escape founder burnout.
After my initial excitement about the first signups on the Curbnit Community it got really quiet. Not just with me, but especially with the few people who did sign up.
Feedback from one user implied that there is too much information in the community. So maybe I just put in too much work (even though I left out a lot of information at this point).
Or could it be I simply took a wrong turn when I decided to launch a community in the first place?

It took a long time, but after countless setbacks, the Curbn soft launch is finally happening.
The first step is organizing an ebook give-away on X, hopefully getting startup founders to not only read about preventing startup burnout, but also sign up as a test user on the platform.
As usual, Murphy's Law hit as Hypefury seemed to have an issue with the automated DMs. Instead of sitting back and let the system handle it, I found myself sending DMs to every user that responded to the post.
Although a lot of work, I actually enjoyed engaging with them. Another sign that a community is indeed the right choice.

Startup founder and mental health are subjects that are too often ignored and yet, they form possibly the biggest threat to startup success. It's time to turn that around and help founders build in a sustainable way.
