Curriculum For Life

I'd been thinking of this endeavor for many years before securing the domain name; I'd hoped to have a homeschooling curriculum structured on this concept before my first child was ever born - but that ship has long since sailed (or, been birthed, so to speak, in 2013). Still, it remains a need and a vision I cannot ignore, and can only hope that this can at least form a substantial piece of improving my grandchildrens' generation.

What is this about, you may ask? What is a "Curriculum For Life"?

I believe our public education is a combination of success and failure; but overall, that it is imbalanced, fragmented, propagandized, and just not conducive to educating truly intelligent, self-aware individuals of strong moral character. And I do believe that this is something a proper education should address.

That is looking at the content part; which is almost completely distinct from the platform concept.

The platform is what will allow for an educational curriculum of this scope. One of its first uses is a personal use-case, for lifelong learning: all existing tools of knowledge management that I have used fall far short of what I need to effectively curate and organize the content I consume and learn from, as well as the content I produce.

The platform I envision contains a number of unique features to enable effective curation and sensemaking from vast volumes of information, as well as structuring and sharing that as courses and curriculums. In this sense, the platform fits the existing category of LMS's: Learning Management Systems.

For the content then, I envision that there would be various courses and curriculums that would be effectively crowdsourced, as people structure and share the results of their own lifelong learning endeavors.
