Daily Chinese
The simplest way to grow your Chinese vocabulary
The team and I spent that last couple years rebuilding the app from the ground up.
The initial version of the app validated that there was demand for a product like this from a part of the Chinese language learning community, but contained some technical issues that made it difficult to grow and scale.
This most recent update moves the app to a new backend which is much faster, and includes a rebuilt frontend with new features like dark mode and daily reminders.
As of last week, we've officially gone live on both Google Play and the App Store! It's been a lot of work to get to this point and I'm excited we finally took this first step.
We ended up needing to significantly reduce the scope of the app to meet the budgetary and timing restrictions we set for ourselves and I'm glad we did. We ended up not needing a lot of the features we originally planned to build.
The next step is to make some initial tweaks based on user feedback and to start spreading the world and see what kind of traction we get.

I’ve used many apps to study Chinese in the past and haven’t found them to be very effective. I designed Daily Chinese to focus specifically on vocabulary learning to help people grow and track their Chinese.
