As an art lover, I wanted to make history’s greatest masterpieces accessible and enjoyable for everyone. That’s why I created Daily Dose of Art! an app that delivers a new, curated piece of art to users every day. From "Editor's Choice" to themes like "Myths & Monsters," I’ve designed this app to inspire, educate, and bring beauty into daily life.
Here’s what I’ve learned during the process:
Simplicity is key for daily-use apps. Users should be able to open your app and intuitively know where everything is, without being told.
Minimalist UI is the way to go. I went through several different design patterns, but when I strip down the UI to basic white colors and assets, it let's the actual content (art work) of the app shine!
Development is easy, marketing is tough! I'm really proud of the final product, but I've struggled to generate significant downloads. I'd love some suggestions on how to build an initial user base if you have any experience.
