Daily Meerkat
Social Media Manager
This post is WAY delayed. I mostly wanted to close the loop on this chapter 😊
This one didn't last long. While we did manage to send out our first and only tweet through the API we quickly determined that our passion was not in it. As one might expect, we soon found other products that were doing this same sort of thing but way better than we had imagined. It wasn't that we couldn't compete, it was that we were going to be in for a fight to acquire customers and build features. We thought the amount of effort it was going to take to build something sellable at a price that made any sense was not something we were interested in doing.
So we waived goodbye to our domain and code and moved on to the next idea.
The nice folks at https://unicornplatform.com/ created a lovely example landing page: https://dailymeerkat.unicornplatform.page/
I signed up for a free account to get the site transferred over. I'm considering keeping the landing page on unicornplatform as a way to get an email list going and a way to have something at the dailymeerkat.com domain. In any event, progress.

We've started the process. We have domain, email, social media accounts. This allows us to "dog food" our own tech as it comes together. Since we will be doing a social media management app and we intend to use it to post to our social media accounts, we should have the rare opportunity to actually use the product we are building.

About
We're building Daily Meerkat as an alternative platform. We're going to do a few things, do them well, and charge a reasonable price.
