Launched on the Airtable app marketplace

The Data Fetcher app, which lets you run, save and schedule API requests without leaving Airtable, is live:

It took longer to go through the marketplace review process than to write the app originally. Totally understandable though as it's a brand new marketplace so their review process is ramping up.

I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of usage it gets, and getting some feedback from early users!

That's really cool man. Is this effectively Postman for AirTable?

Thanks! Yes I took a lot of inspiration from the Postman UI + added the logic to map API responses -> Airtable records/ field types.

Brilliant idea. Piggyback of an already great product inspired by another great product! Out of interest, would there have been any way to do this with Zapier or such like?

        1. 1

yeah, Zapier/ integromat/ palabra.io etc. I'm taking a bet on people wanting the convenience factor of doing it within Airtable + targeting slightly more technical people (since you need to set up the APIs yourself at the moment).

    Congrats Andy!

I made an app for Airtable a few days ago, but I have not submitted for review yet (probably do it on Saturday). They say that review process takes a couple of week. How long it was for you? Do you have any suggestion before submitting the app?

Hope you many paid customers from their marketplace.
