Came up with the idea

I was browsing Product Hunt looking for inspiration for a new project. Came across API Connector, a Google Sheets add on that lets your make API requests.

I wondered if you could build a similar extension for Airtable. I know a lot of people use Zapier/ Integromat to glue other services to Airtable, but there's a convenience factor to having it right within Airtable. I looked into Airtable app development and turns out custom block (app) development was currently in beta, but seemed very likely to open up more in the future.

I wrote a load of user stories in Airtable (of course), and got coding. I could definitely do more to validate it but I was taking a similar approach to what had worked for my last micro-saas, Influence Grid - take a popular product on one platform, and swap out the platform for a new one that is growing rapidly.
