January 18, 2020 Our first random user posted!

Today, our first random user posted a Jupyter notebook on Datafied. We don't know who he is and or why he posted.

We're scheduling a call with him to learn more about his reasons for using Datafied and how we can improve the site.

Our next goal is to get more users posting and then speaking with them afterwards to get feedback.

January 10, 2020 We launched!

Today we launched after two months of building the MVP. Two months prior to the launch, all we had was an idea.

At first, I didn't know web development and I didn't even know if this idea was possible. I have a background in data science (which involves a good bit of coding in Python) so I was confident in my ability to learn the required coding skills. I began learning Flask and scrapped together the very first version of the site.

I showed the site to my good friend Jack, and he loved the potential. He wanted in.

Jack joined as a co-founder and we spent the next month building the rest of the website. Jack made us legit and was the real turning point for Datafied.

On January 10th, 2020, we released the website to the world. We had 20 people sign up (mostly family & friends).

These two months of development taught me a lot about myself. An idea that once seemed impossible to build became a reality with a little bit of confidence and determination. We realized that if you break the problem down into bits that you know how to solve, the destination comes a lot quicker.
