DataGrab
Web scraping software-as-a-service
The Beta Program resulted in 150 users. I concluded that people who prefer no-code scraping tools do not tend to have higher data needs, and that these tools are suitable only for the simplest pages.
I'm planning to pivot, and to focus on data productization and scalability instead, allowing users to write and upload custom scripts. My intended audience will be founders who want to power their apps with web data.
The first working version was launched to the public for testing it out. I'm really hoping to gain some good feedback through customer interviews and the minimal feedback system I've built into the platform. The beta also acts as a safety net to catch and fix critical bugs.

Data is knowledge and knowledge is power. Extracting web data automatically and cleaning it into actionable format allows businesses to make correct decisions based on facts not wild guesses.

Hmm, as a no-code user myself I agree with you!
What are you planning on the pivot being?
A lot of things happened since! :)
But I'm planning on moving in two directions:
Templates are a great idea!
And, if you haven't already, try using programmatic SEO to build a bunch of landing pages to target long-tail keywords. Here's a great article on how to do it with Webflow in a week and a Trends VC reporton it.
Plus list DataGrab on software directories. Submit Juice can make the process super easy whether it's DIY or paying them (not affiliated, i just love the product) :)
Best of luck with the pivot! looking forward to seeing what's next for DataGrab.
I'm building a SaaS that automates marketing strategy and includes step-by-step to do's for your marketing if you'd like some help on the marketing side. :)
Thank you, Sophia! I wish you the best as well! :)
ur product actually has a use for people who have data entry needs. Many of my former VA clients made me get data copy pasted from their websites eg - copy pasting 1000s of reviews from their website manually. This tool is specially useful for One person Businesses who have some web scraping needs that they currently ask their VAs to do manually
Thanks! Yep, there is definitely a market for this. The Chrome extension I built will stay, but it's not going to be #1 thing I'll emphasize on the landing page.
