One year after launch, we got a TON of great feedback on the site.
People loved the SQL interview questions, BUT were asking for much more content around Python – so we decided to add Python support!

This was a tough call to make, because initially we wanted to be laser focused on just SQL – between the dialects of SQL, teaching SQL, creating SQL interview video solutions, there's still so much work to be done.

Let's see if splitting focus between SQL and Python makes sense!

We got 2,500 users in our first month – here's how!
First we asked our other Data Science & Data Analytics friends to post about it on LinkedIn & Twitter. This drove ~1,000 of the users. Then we also hit up the "Ace the Data Science Interview" book readers email list – this got us the next 1500 users.

I'm SO glad we created an email newsletter – when they say email is the best marketing channel, I didn't use to believe it (since I did so much of my social media content creation on LinkedIn). But, I've now changed my opinions - email is KING!

The book Ace the Data Science Interview had already been out for a year, and folks loved it. We sold over 10,000 copies in our first year. But there was one consistent piece of feedback we kept getting: MAKE THE PROBLEMS SOLVABLE, ONLINE!

The book had a SQL Interviews chapter & Coding Interviews chapter, where we took FAANG interview questions and solved them. But this wasn't helpful – readers wanted to solve the problems online.

So, once we heard this feedback 30 times in a single month – we knew we HAD to build it.
