DataTau

After one month of inactivity of the original website, we got no answer from the maintainer, so we decided to make 'a clone of the clone' of the website, a news board, Hacker News clone for Data Science related stuff: https://datatau.net

We launched on Hacker News reaching front page and getting traffic speaks of 50-100 simultaneous users. The interesting thing is that is hosted in a laptop at home, with a 300mbps internet connection.

We decided to open source the project (https://github.com/datatau-net/DataTau/projects), which is a Django based Hacker News clone, to make the website more or less independent from us and ensure its continuity and active development over time.

This product is nonprofit, will always have 0$/mo revenue, no ads, no business model, because it is an investment of our free time in the Data Science community and ecosystem, and we are very proud of it.
