#datefromhome
Better digital dates
The site build itself didn't take long (Webflow + Zapier + Calendly), but getting hosts for the sessions took some work... Surprisingly, I don’t know a ton of pasta chefs so I had to creatively source them.
But where?
Well... I poached them from Airbnb Experiences, where they were inactive due to quarantine so datefromhome helps bring them back online & gives a source of revenue.
After finding some and persuading them to join the experimental project, we also needed to invent classes that only used items that can be found in a supermarket or in everyone's homes.
Along with my newly poached team (of a pasta chef & mixologist), we made classes for the quarantined.
Turns out that a wine bottle makes a great rolling pin, who knew? 🍾
About
When social lives = video calls, it’s hard to be able to make any of them feel different. #datefromhome exists for better digital dates: get drinks delivered, do a live class or 'go' somewhere with themed date packs.
