Dead Simple Email

Hey IH — I'm one of the founders of Dead Simple Email (deadsimple.email), an email API for AI agents. We just launched on Product Hunt and wanted to share the full picture here.

The problem

AI agents need real email addresses. Gmail suspends bot accounts — TOS violation, no appeal. SES is outbound only. The main purpose-built option, AgentMail (YC-backed, $6M raised), jumps from $20/mo to $200/mo with no tier in between. A developer who needs 15 inboxes has nowhere to go.

Why we built it

We run 10+ production mail servers for another product. We had the infrastructure. We saw the pricing gap. So we packaged what we already had into something developers could actually use.

What it is

Email API + dashboard for AI agents. MCP server included, so agents built on Claude or ChatGPT connect natively with zero custom code. Webhooks on the free plan. Shared domain for instant onboarding.

Pricing: 5 inboxes free, 15 inboxes for $5/mo, 100 inboxes for $29/mo.

Where we are

- 114 total accounts, 3 paying

- $15 MRR (yes, it's early)

- 145 active inboxes created

- 180 emails processed this month

- 64 signups in the last 30 days

We're not going to pretend this is hockey stick growth. But the product works, people are signing up organically, and we have paying customers. That's enough to keep building.

What's next

More content, more cold outreach, and converting free users to paid. The $5 tier exists specifically to lower that barrier.
