Demo'd my application (under development) to a colleague who I really respected. He had some nice things to say and gave me some really useful ideas. Was my first independent validation that I might have something interesting and useful. Also kept my bosses in the loop about what I was doing.
Spent a couple of weeks knocking together my first prototype. This was mostly about shaking out the architecture which came together a lot easier than I expected. Demo'd my first prototype to my wife and kids, and got my daughter to be the first person who logged into the application. They're not really the target audience, but they're supportive.

Was listening to a "Startups for the rest of us" podcast about FeedbackPanda and how they had just had a successful exit after three or so years of effort. My hours at work had been cut by 20% because of the Covid-19 crisis so I got thinking I really need to get my butt moving and do something. My idea had already been kicking around for a while it was just a case of executing it.

My hours were cut to part time because of Covid-19, so I wanted to make use of the extra time I now have.
