April 14, 2019 Why I made decisionize.com

I've had a hard time launching in the past, so my goal with decisionize.com was to create something quickly that I could launch and learn from.

Plus, I liked the idea of using this decision matrix to choose between complex options. Found it really helped me make hard decisions and thought others might find it useful.

Wrote a post about how it went here:

I have to say, I find the interface incredible! If I were you, I would look into doing something around onboarding workflows, surveys or similar. I am sure they are plenty use cases where it is great to see what has been answered and what is coming. Great work... Sorry, not much to say around the actual decision features ;-)

The interface is uniquely intuitive and easy to wrap your head around, steps are clear and each is meaningful. I still find it problematic being limited to four options - what if the outcome was high-risk high-reward, how can I account for uncertainty and probability of failure? I will use it in the future but IMO it needs a feature or two to really make it better than the simple alternative (a piece of paper.)

EDIT: I would like to see a bunch of decision-making tools digitized such as decision trees and root-cause diagrams. In a suite, you could sell them to companies for I would predict a pretty large amount of money.

I agree with you here. Needs more fidelity and a feature or two to make it significantly more. useful.

Also, I quite like your idea to package it with other decision making tools. Any insights as to why it'd be worth buying in this format with other tools?

As it stands, I would need to do more customer research to evaulaute the financial potential there. I'm having trouble visualizing a packaged product worth paying for since I don't have the need for it myself.
