Declair

Hey IH community,

I'm Dennis, a freelance developer from the Netherlands. I've been building side projects for years alongside my day job.

The problem I kept running into: Dutch invoicing is a mess.

The Dutch market has specific requirements that generic tools don't handle well — specific VAT rates (21%, 9%, 0%), mandatory invoice numbering, and iDEAL as the dominant payment method.

Existing solutions were either too expensive, too complex, or just not designed for the Dutch market at all.

So I built Declair.

Current status:

- Live at declair.app

- Core features: invoicing, costs, OCR, VAT, income taxes help, iDEAL paymentlinks, audit trail

- Early stage, actively looking for users and feedback

What I'm most unsure about:

- Pricing: is a freemium model right, or should I go straight to paid?

- International: Dutch-only for now, but worth expanding?
